Dr. Caleb May
Caleb M. May, DO, is a graduate of the Kansas City University school of medicine. He trained in Family Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. He has been in practice since 2012, first as an Army Physician, then in the Emergency Room, and now back to his roots as a Family physician. Caleb, his wife Marjorie, and their son Ethan moved to Chattanooga in the fall of 2020. They welcomed their second son, Liam in April of 2021.
Dr. May has broad experience with Primary care, Emergency care, Sports Medicine, Wilderness Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Worker’s Compensation care. Dr. May enjoys teaching, and he has tutored and taught students both science and medicine. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys supporting his children's many athletic endeavors.
Although he does not get much opportunity to do so now, Dr. May does enjoy reminiscing about the ‘glory days’, when he used to SCUBA dive, sail, and fly. He has traveled extensively and has lived outside of the United States for over a decade. He speaks several languages (though not Spanish, unfortunately). In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family on their small farm.
Caleb believes in “old school” family medicine. Your family doctor may not be an expert in everything, but he should be able to help you with most things and be able to connect you to someone who can fix the problem. In a world where other offices can “work you right in”… three weeks from now, he believes you should be able to see your doctor immediately for urgent problems. He provides Comprehensive Family Medicine in a quick efficient manner.
